Rev. Debbie McDonnell - Senior Minister    

Rev. Debbie is the Senior Minister at Monterey Center for Spritual Living. She has served at Seaside CSL for 15 years as staff minister before accepting the Senior Minister position here at Monterey CSL. Rev. Debbie is commited to practicing the principles of the Science of  Mind in her daily life. She is an energetic outgoing speaker and teacher. She became a Religious Science Practitioner in 2005 and graduated from the Holmes Institute in 2014 with a Masters Degree in Consciousness Studies. She has a passion for teaching and sharing the tools for positive living with her students and congregation. 

Rev. Debbie has two young adult children and places a high value on family and personal connections. She is a creative soul with a passion for the arts, whether is be painting, sewing or in the garden. Her mission is to teach truth, create beauty and be a living example of Spirit expressing.


Rev. Meghan Dake-Morrell - Assistant Minister

dakemorrell headshotRev. Meghan comes to us from Center for Spiritual Living, San Jose taking on the role of Assistant Minister at Monterey Center for Spritual Living. She served at CSL San Jose for 12 years as practitioner, staff minister, and finally assistant minister before accepting the position here at Monterey CSL. She graduated from Ernest Holmes Institute in 2014 and was ordained in 2017. From her 12 years as Finance Director and CMS Director in San Jose, Rev. Meghan gained an extensive background in church administration, Religious Science education, and a passion for marketing and brand consistancy.

Rev. Meghan's mission is "Connection to Self and Spirit," with a focus on identifying and releasing anything in the way of all-out juicy expression. Her interests and passions all relate to creativity and spirituality. While writing and spiritual education are currently her most active expressions, she also loves anything that requires both her love of analysis and creativity, such as databases, cooking, sewing, assessing. She and her wife, Debra (not Rev. Debbie!) teach both Soul Collage and a 4-week art course called Creative Brilliance which they developed over 6 years ago.  For the time being the family will continue to live in San Jose as their 16 year old daughter completes high school.


Rev. Cindy Harp - Staff Minister

Rev Cindy Harp

“discovered” the Science of Mind in 1995 when she first studied at the Monterey Center for Spiritual living. She received her practitioner’s license in 2000, and became a licensed minister in 2003. She has served this Center as a Staff Minister in pastoral care since 2003 and was approved for ordination in 2009.

Rev. Cindy is passionate about teaching and inspiring people to accept their spiritual power and wholeheartedly pursue their dreams. She has taught accredited SOM 100 and 200 classes, and has led a lively Wednesday evening discussion group for four and a half years. Her affirmative prayers have been published in Creative Thought.

She has been married to her husband, Lynn, for 40 years and has four grown stepchildren, six grandchildren, and one adorable great-grandchild! Rev. Cindy gardens as a spiritual practice!
